Destiny: 1) What is it?

Destiny is our online library catalog. Used by most NYC schools, Destiny is open to the entire PS 59 community, not only to locate books in our library but for finding information, sparking new questions and interests, dealing with life's issues and solving the world's problems -- at least in some small way.

Destiny: 2a) How to use it -- basic search

Destiny will show what books we have, but also link to the eBooks we own and websites. It is not necessary to login to use Destiny, but more logging in allows saving lists, commenting, placing holds and more.

To find information in a Basic Search, type what you are looking for in the search box, press Enter or select an option for a more specific search, such as Titles, or Material Type (examples include books, maps, eBooks, DVDs, and more).

Destiny: 2b) How to use it -- visual search
